The plan is to have top class facilities in place for both athletics and rugby in order to fully serve the current and future needs of both clubs while also providing facilities to local schools.  The ultimate plan is for 3 rugby pitches, running track, field athletics facilities, club house and parking. 

The site will be 10 minutes cycle, or 6 minutes drive from the centre of Carrigaline
